I was told my MTHFR bloodwork wasn't covered by my insurance, and it would cost over $600 OOP to have it done! It was pertinent that we found out to decide which course of treatment to take. A few years ago I had received Ancestry DNA as a gift, and when I found out that I could use my raw data and it was only $20 to get results, I was so excited! It took me only a few hours from start to finish from downloading from Ancestry, to getting an answer from XCode. It gave me the answers I needed, as well as a comprehensive explanation of symptoms and other important information.
