Are nut allergy and peanut allergy the same traits in the Gene Allergy Report?
Even though peanut has "nut" in it, it is, in fact, not a nut at all! Peanuts are legumes, which are edible seeds enclosed in pods, and are in the same family as beans, lentils, and peas.
Nut allergy in the report refers to tree nuts, which include walnut, cashew, almonds, and pecans - produced on trees.
