Gene: USP24
Alternate names for this Gene: -
Gene Summary: Modification of cellular proteins by ubiquitin is an essential regulatory mechanism controlled by the coordinated action of multiple ubiquitin-conjugating and deubiquitinating enzymes. USP24 belongs to a large family of cysteine proteases that function as deubiquitinating enzymes (Quesada et al., 2004 [PubMed 14715245]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]. Sequence Note: This RefSeq record was created from genomic sequence data because no single transcript was available for the full length of the gene. The extent of this transcript is supported by alignments of human and mouse transcripts. Publication Note: This RefSeq record includes a subset of the publications that are available for this gene. Please see the Gene record to access additional publications. ##Evidence-Data-START## RNAseq introns :: mixed/partial sample support SAMEA1965299, SAMEA1966682 [ECO:0000350] ##Evidence-Data-END## ##RefSeq-Attributes-START## MANE Ensembl match :: ENST00000294383.7/ ENSP00000294383.5 RefSeq Select criteria :: based on conservation, expression ##RefSeq-Attributes-END##
