Gene: EPDR1

Alternate names for this Gene: EPDR|MERP-1|MERP1|UCC1

Gene Summary: The protein encoded by this gene is a type II transmembrane protein that is similar to two families of cell adhesion molecules, the protocadherins and ependymins. This protein may play a role in calcium-dependent cell adhesion. This protein is glycosylated, and the orthologous mouse protein is localized to the lysosome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 8.

Gene is located in Chromosome: 7

Location in Chromosome : 7p14.1

Description of this Gene: ependymin related 1

Type of Gene: protein-coding

Gene: GPR141

Alternate names for this Gene: PGR13

Gene Summary: GPR141 is a member of the rhodopsin family of G protein-coupled receptors (GPRs) (Fredriksson et al., 2003 [PubMed 14623098]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008].
